Hartwell Church Sponsoring Back to School Bash Saturday on Railroad St.

An evening of fun events for kids and the entire family is coming up Saturday evening on Railroad St.

Sponsored by Christian Worship Assembly in Hartwell it’s a Back to School Bash for students preparing to go back to class on Monday.

Organizer Toy Wilkins with CWA tells WLHR News the goal is to help students of all ages get ready to return to the classroom.

Events start at 5p with dozens of vendors selling everything from homemade crafts, to jewelry, and more.

There will also be food vendors from Chick-fil-A to Satchmo’s to local citizens selling homemade baked goods and specialty plates.

Kids will be able to play on bouncy houses and play games before a special evening of praise and worship from area churches.

Additionally, several youth pastors will speak to young people about facing challenges in school and the classroom.

Wilkins said anyone who needs counseling or prayer will have an opportunity to bring their concerns to one of three ministers who will be on hand inside the Railroad St. Train depot.

Again, the Back to School Bash takes place on Railroad St. Saturday evening from 5p to 9p.  It is free and open to the public.

Anyone with questions can contact Wilkins at 770-286-3452.
