Hartwell, Banks County Approve Second Amendment Sanctuary Resolutions

Two more local governments have declared their support for the Second Amendment.

Last week, the Hartwell City Council voted to make Hartwell a Second Amendment Sanctuary municipality.

As with the Franklin County Second Amendment Sanctuary Resolution, Hartwell’s resolution states that the City will not use its own resources to enforce any federal government order to enforce gun control laws, but noted they are not able to stop state and federal authorities from enforcing those laws in the City.

Then on Wednesday, Banks County’s Board of Commissioners also voted to make their County a Second Amendment Sanctuary County.

Last month, Habersham County became the first in Georgia to become a Second Amendment Sanctuary County.

Since then, Franklin, Stephens, and Rabun counties have also declared themselves to be Second Amendment Sanctuary counties.

Barrow County also voted Tuesday to join the ranks as a Second Amendment County, according to a report from WDUN in Gainesville.
