Hart Partners/CIS of Hart County Receives Literacy Grant

The Dollar General Literacy Foundation has awarded Hart Partners/CIS of Hart County a $1500 grant to support summer literacy.

This local grant award is part of over $7.1 million in grants awarded to more than 900 schools, nonprofits and organizations across the 43 states that Dollar General serves.

Hart Partners/CIS of Hart County runs literacy programs for Hart County children from birth to graduation.

The literacy programs are in conjunction with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program, which serves children from birth to age 5.

Hart Partners also has a mentor program along with tutoring in the elementary and middle school.

Additionally, the group provides other programs, such as Sight for Students and Help a Child Smile dental bus and they help provide schools supplies to children who need them.

Hart Partner’s Summer Bookmobile will be operating throughout Hart County and stopping at Dollar General Stores during the summer break.
