Hart County Schools Mourns Loss of Student

Classmates, teachers, and administrators with Hart County Schools continue to mourn the loss of a 14-year-old boy who died in dirt bike accident on Saturday.  According to WSB-TV, David “Lake” Fuller was riding down Beaver Dam Road on his dirt bike when he collided with a four-wheeler.

Lake, as he was called, was an 8th grader at Hart County Middle School who loved football, wrestling, and all kinds of outdoor activities.  In a letter to parents and students, school superintendent Jennifer Carter added that Lake will be remembered for his contagious smile and outgoing personality.

Carter says additional counselors will be on-hand for any students or staff at the middle school having difficulty dealing with this sudden loss.  They’ll be available throughout the week.

The family received friends Wednesday evening at Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell.  Lake’s body will be buried in Palmer, Tennessee, on Friday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to defray expenses.
