Hart County Pair Indicted in Connection With Major Drug Bust in January

In Hart County, two people arrested in connection with a drug bust in January have been indicted by the Hart County Grand Jury.

Sheriff Mike Cleveland said on January 17 GBI agents and Hart County Investigators went to a home on Ridge Road where they recovered what Cleveland said was a “trafficking amount of marijuana” along with cash and a handgun.

Then on January 18, another search warrant was conducted at another location, which resulted in an additional trafficking amount of marijuana, cash, and another weapon.

Arrested were 21-year-old Diamond Alise Scott and 25-year-old Bryson Jordan, Jr. They were two of six suspects ultimately arrested in the case.

The Hart County Grand Jury indicted Scott and Jordon on two counts of violation of the street gang terrorism and prevention act; one count of trafficking in marijuana; two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; one count of tampering with evidence; and two counts possession of a firearm by first offender probationer.

Cleveland said over 40 lbs of high-quality marijuana was seized, two semi-automatic weapons, over $11,000 in cash as well as a Jail Break Hell Cat Dodge Charger with a value of approximately $100,000.
