Hart Co CTAE scores highest

Hart County Charter School’s College and Career Academy is performing well above the state average, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

 

The Georgia Department of Education recently released CTAE (Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education) Pathway Completer Graduation Rates for the Class of 2021.

 

99.2 % of Hart College and Career Academy’s Class of 2021, who completed a CTAE Pathway also graduated from high school, underscoring the importance of CTAE programs. 

 

Hart College and Career Academy CEO Brooks Mewborn said in a press release that graduation from high school is important and Career, Technical, Agricultural, Education is important. 

 

Mewborn said he always asks students one question: What’s your plan when you wake up on Saturday morning after Friday night’s graduation?”

 

The Hart County Charter System recorded a higher rate than the state average, which was 97%, with its 99.2% rate. 

 

Compared to several other school systems in North Georgia, the Hart County Charter System fared among the highest rates.

 

Behind Hart County, Franklin County scored 98,3%, Banks County, 97.7% and Stephens County had a 95.7% rate.

 

During the 2020-2021 school year, 84.2% of all students at Hart County High School (1,063 enrollment) took at least one CTAE class.

 

The Hart College and Career Academy, which currently offers 14 pathways, continues to work with local industry to provide more opportunities for students before, and after, they graduate high school.
