Hart Co Charter Schools Announce Teachers of the Year

The Hart County Charter School System has announced its new class of Teachers of the Year.

Five teachers were voted on by their colleagues to be the next Teacher of the Year for their respective schools:

Bray List was named the Teacher of the Year for Hart County High School.

List is the Marketing/Hospitality and Tourism teacher at Hart County High School in the Hart College and Career Academy. She is in her 8th year of teaching at HCHS.

Tallulah “Tee” King is the Hart County Middle School Teacher of the Year.

A 6th and 7th grade Social Studies teacher there, she is in her 5th year of teaching at HCMS.

David Longworth was voted Teacher of the Year for Hartwell Elementary School.

He is a 3rd-grade teacher at Hartwell Elementary School, and has been teaching there for seven years.

Lee Canup was named the North Hart Elementary School Teacher of the Year.

Canup is a 1st-grade teacher at North Hart Elementary School and has been a teacher there for three years.

Melissa Camp has been named the South Hart Elementary School Teacher of the Year.

Camp is the Media Specialist at South Hart Elementary School and has been a teacher there for 12 years.

The Teachers of the Year will be recognized at the regular Hart County Board of Education meeting on May 9th.
