Hart Chamber Planning for Eggs and Issues Breakfast This Month

The Hart County Chamber of Commerce is once again gearing up for their annual Eggs and Issues breakfast.

This year’s event is coming up Saturday, February 20 at 8:30a at the Adult Learning Center below the Hart County Public Library.

The breakfast is an opportunity for the public to come out and hear from their elected representatives on the issues locally, and at the state and federal level.  It’s also a time for people to ask their elected officials questions or comment on issues concerning them.

says so far, they have confirmation from local governing bodies.

“We already have confirmations from Hartwell Mayor Brandon Johnson, Sen Perdue’s office who will be sending a representative, State Rep. Alan Powell, Hart County School Superintendent Jay Floyd, IBA Director Dwayne Dye, and Hart County BOC chair Ricky Carter,” Chamber Executive Director Nicki Meyer said.

Meyer said they are still waiting to hear from Congressman Doug Collins’ office on whether he will be attending.

Meyer said there’s no charge to come and here elected officials, but if you do need to contact the Chamber to pay for the breakfast if you plan to eat there.

“If you would like breakfast, it is $10 for the meal, but you don’t have to buy breakfast,” Meyer said. “You can just come and hear your local, state and federal officials and that’s a free session.”

Again, the Hart County Chamber’s annual Eggs and Issues breakfast is coming up Saturday February 20th at 8:30a.
