Harbin Lumber Collecting Coats For Kids in Need This Winter

Harbin Lumber is working to help make sure children in Franklin County are warm this winter with their Harbin Hoodies Community Coat Drive.

Organizer Ashley Guest, Marketing Coordinator for Harbin says she wanted to do something for the community that would help children this holiday season.

The Coat Drive runs through Wednesday, November 16 with many drop-off locations throughout the County.

If you would like to drop off a new or gently used coat or hoodie for a child in need the drop-off locations are at the Harbin Lumber offices on Highway 17 in Lavonia, Lavonia City Hall, Carnesville City Hall, and both Pinnacle Bank locations in Royston/Franklin Springs.

Once the coats are collected on the 16th Guest said they will then be taken to the Franklin County Board of Education offices where School System Social Worker Nikki Croy will then distribute them to each school.

Again, the coat drive is accepting all sizes of coats and hoodies through Wednesday, November 16.
