Haering Open House Set for Saturday in Gateway 2 Industrial Park

It promises to be more than just your average open house Saturday when German auto parts maker Haering Precision USA opens its doors to the public.

The grand opening will take place from 11a to 6p and according to Dr. Jurgen Haering, owner, and president of the Haring Group, Saturday’s event will show off their 150,000 sq foot production space containing 40 acres of state-of-the-art machinery.

But wait there’s more.

In this season of fall festivals and events, Haering is making sure your visit is interesting and fun for the entire family.

Saturday’s open house will feature games, activities such as a climbing wall, challenges, an interactive tour of the new plant, and you will also be able to sample some international foods.

In 2014, former Gov. Nathan Deal announced Haering’s plan to locate its first U.S. manufacturing facility in the Gateway II Industrial Park in Lavonia, with plans to create 800 jobs by 2025 and invest $54 million into the project.

Founded in 1961, Häering has steadily grown to become one of the leading partners of the automotive industry worldwide.

The company manufactures precision components and sub-assemblies for the automotive industry.

Haering is one of more than 120 automotive manufacturers that have invested more than $5 billion in the state of Georgia.

Again, Saturday’s open house at Haering will go from 11a to 6p.

Haering Precision USA is located off Knox Bridge Crossing Road in the Gateway II Industrial Park in Lavonia.
