GSP Trooper Cruiser Strikes City Work Truck in Toccoa, Injures Driver

A Toccoa man is hospitalized after his work truck was struck by a Georgia State Patrol trooper.

It happened last Thursday around 4p.

According to the Georgia State Patrol Post 7, the trooper was heading westbound on GA 17 approaching GA 106.

The patrol vehicle then entered the intersection on a red signal, striking Fulbright’s city-owned truck. The GSP has identified the at-fault driver as Trooper First Class Greer.

According to the GSP, at the time of the accident, Greer was not responding to a call.

No charges are pending and Greer remains on the job.

Fulbright was transported to the hospital for complaints of injuries.

His condition is unknown.

No other details have been released at this time.
