The Georgia State Patrol Harwell Post is investigating the cause of a wreck Monday morning that tied up traffic for miles.

It happened about 6:30a Monday on the I-85 State Line Bridge near the South Carolina Exit 1 and Welcome Center.
Authorities say a couple and their infant were traveling north on I-85 on their way to Maryland when they hit the guard rail.

Fair Play Fire Department authorities say both adults and the infant were properly restrained in the vehicle.

The Georgia State Patrol handled the investigation.  Hartwell Post Assistant Commander Matt Baxley said there were no serious injuries.

Traffic was backed up for miles into Georgia, however, while crews worked to clear the wreckage off the bridge.

So far, troopers have not released a cause of the accident.
