GSP Hartwell Post Receives MADD’s Post of the Year Award for 2022

Georgia State Patrol Post 52 in Hart County was recently named the Gold Shield 2022 Post of the Year by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

New Post Commander Camran Fleming said in order to win Post of the Year, several areas have to be met and he credits his officers with succeeding in those areas.

GSP Post 52 also received MADD’s 2022 Golden Shield DUI Hero award for making 455 DUI arrests in 2021. New Post Commander Camran Fleming said making 455 DUI arrests in a year is no small achievement.

Those troopers honored with the most DUI arrests include:

TFC Cory Andrews, 123 DUI arrests; TFC Brad Cuevas, 30 DUI arrests; TFC Dustin Welborn, 47 DUI arrests; TFC Kiefer Smith, 50 DUI arrests; TFC Bryan Randall, 44 DUI arrests; TFC Jesse Lamb, 39 DUI arrests; and TFC Matthew Bradley, 91 DUI arrests.

Fleming has only been on the job as commander for a couple of weeks and said now that Post 52 has won the MADD award for 2021, the officers have already set a goal to win again next year.

This was the second HERO award Post 52 has received for the highest number of DUI arrests.

They received the first one in 2016 just two years after the post officially opened.
