Georgia DOT Schedules Road Work This Week in Local Counties

 Georgia DOT crews will be out in force in Franklin, Hart and neighboring counties doing routine road work and maintenance this week.
 
Franklin – A crew will trim the vegetation in the rights of way and mow the slopes alongside SR 326.  Crews will also continue working on resurfacing SR59 from Carnesville to Lavonia. 
 
Hart  – A crew will remove damaged sections of asphalt and replace it with new asphalt on SR 17 Royston Bypass.  A lane closure will be required as crews work. Another crew will place delineators on SR 8/US 29, a lane closure is required as work occurs.
 
Stephens – A crew will inspect drainage pipes under SR 328 and SR 17.  And of course, work will resume this week on the widening of SR17 from the Franklin County line to Toccoa. 
 
Banks  – A crew will trim vegetation in the rights of way alongside SR 198 the shoulder of the roadway will be closed as the work occurs.
 
Elbert– A crew will trim vegetation in the rights of way alongside SR 17.
 
Madison– A crew will trim vegetation in rights of way alongside SR 98 will be trimmed using an extension arm trimmer.
