GDOT Schedules Sign Work This Week on I-85 and I-985

If you typically travel down I-85 south for work or if you plan to be heading down the Interstate this week, expect some delays.

Crews with the Georgia Department of Transportation will be doing some work on 85 beginning today through Thursday.

That will result in some temporary lane closures.

Crews will be replacing the changeable message signs at mile post 0.9 just north of the weigh station in Franklin County on Thursday and the will require the right lane of 85 to close temporarily.

Work will also be going on on I-985 in Hall County.

The right lane and shoulder of I-985 North and the left southbound lane between Exits 15 and 16 in Hall County will be closed today.

Work on replacing the changeable message sign just north of Exit 24 will also force the closure of the right southbound lane and shoulder of I-985 at that location on Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
