Taken was a 1956 Black and Chrome Chevy Belair and a 2015 Orange Dodge Challenger with a black racing stripe.

The cars were stolen from Tri-County Chevrolet and the dealership is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to their location and the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved.

Royston Police Chief Donnie Boleman said the GBI is assisting his office with the investigation.

Investigators with the Royston Police were looking at surveillance video to try and determine the identity of the suspects involved.

“The video is being enhanced at this time. There’s still a lot of technical work that’s being done,” he said.

As for the $10,000 reward being offered, Boleman said that has resulted in numerous tips, which he said are all being looked into.

“We’re working leads that have been coming in from all over the nation,” Boleman said. “We have people who think they’ve seen the cars in other areas and we’re following up on those, but a lot of them have turned out to not be valid,” Boleman said.

Boleman said anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the two cars or the suspects involved is asked to contact Royston Police at 706-245-6196.
