Franklin Springs to Hold Fireworks Within 60 Days

As we’ve been telling you, the City of Franklin Springs has had to postpone its first annual New Year’s Eve celebration due to the threat of rain.

Forecasters are calling for rain throughout the day Saturday with occasional rain into Saturday night.

According to  Moore that put a damper on the City’s plan to include fireworks.

Moore said they have already paid for the fireworks and plan to have them at some point in the future.

At Thursday’s City Council meeting, Mayor Lee Moore said they were informed they have 60 days to reschedule the fireworks event but so far, they have not nailed down a definite date.

WLHR News will announce the City’s plans for the fireworks display when it becomes available.
