Franklin Middle School TSA Chapter Takes Home Top Honors

The Franklin County Middle School chapter of the Technology Student Association is the best in the State.

Last month, the Chapter again won the Georgia Outstanding Chapter Award at the annual TSA Convention in Athens.

It’s the 23rd time in its 28 year history that Franklin County has taken that trophy home.

The two-day convention was held at the Classic Center in Athens, Georgia, on March 19 and 20.

19 Franklin County Middle School students represented the County in the annual competition.

Throughout the weekend, teams kept racking up the trophies in each category.

The chapter brought home a total of four 1st place trophies in Water Infrastructure, Parliamentary Procedure, First Lego League, and Medical Technology.

But wait, there’s more.

The Franklin County Middle School team also picked up second place ribbons in several other categories, including Public Speaking, Leadership Strategies, Go Green Manufacturing, Geospatial Technology, Career Challenge, Energy Sources, and Construction Challenge.
