Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year is Chick-fil-A in Lavonia.

Chamber Executive Director Tonya Powers said the owners of the Lavonia store have gone the extra mile and she said the Chamber is privileged to present them with this much deserved honor.

The store opened in July 2018 and since then franchisee Will Lowe and his wife have demonstrated their commitment to Franklin and surrounding counties.

During this year of the pandemic, Lowe gave all teachers in Franklin County meal cards.

Employees of the Lavonia Chick-fil-A also sang outside the windows of residents of the Gables Assisted Living during the pandemic lockdown.

Additionally, the Lowes were involved in a leadership program at Franklin County High School, Operation Christmas Child, the Spark of Hope campaign, Toccoa Life, Daddy date night, and Powers said have gone the extra mile to help their employees cope emotionally and mentally with the stresses resulting from the pandemic.
