Franklin Community Players’ Broadway Showcase Coming Up in January

Tickets go on sale January 2nd for the Franklin Community Players’ Broadway Showcase at the Lavonia Cultural Center.

Broadway Showcase is scheduled for one performance only, Friday, January 10, 2020 at 7 p.

FCP President, Amy L. Burns tells WLHR News the performance will benefit the Franklin Community Players’ upcoming production of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, coming to the Lavonia Cultural Center March 20 to the 23rd.

Burns said the Broadway Showcase feature many Broadway show tunes from classics to modern music from the Great White Way.

The live production includes songs from musicals such as Waitress, Memphis, Beetlejuice, Little Shop of Horrors, Anastasia, Bright Star and more.

Burns said the Franklin Community Players are trying to bring a wide assortment of entertainment to Northeast Georgia, including popular musicals and plays, original productions, as well as variety shows, and children’s productions.

Money raised from performances goes to fund future performances and community outreach, including the Youth Summer Theatre Program, and college scholarships to deserving high school seniors.
