Franklin Co. Dump Day is Saturday Morning

Dump Day will take place from 8a to 12 noon at the Franklin County Convenience Center on Harrison Bridge Rd. in Carnesville.

Items such as old furniture, toilets, mattresses, TVs/electronics, appliances, scrap metal, cardboard boxes, and extra trash can be disposed of free of charge during the event.

County Manager Derrick Turner said the day is a time for citizens to dispose of unwanted items at the county convenience site free of charge.

This is for Franklin County residents only and you must bring proof you live in the County by providing an ID and/or proof of current Franklin County residency.

There will be an additional cost for tires and they will not accept toxic materials.

Also, no large trucks or large vehicles will be allowed at the convenience center. In other words, you can’t fill a dump truck with stuff and back it into the convenience site. They will only allow normal residential vehicles at the center, such as cars, SUV’s and pick up trucks.

Additionally, there are some things they will not take. They include:

Brush
Trees
Batteries
Motor Oil Containers
Paint Cans
Boats
Recycled paper.
