Franklin Co Deputies Arrest Man in Connection with Toccoa Armed Robbery

An Elberton man is now behind bars charged with armed robbery in Toccoa after a multi-agency search for the suspect.

According to Franklin County Sheriff Steve Thomas, on Friday, July 7, 2023, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from other agencies executed an arrest warrant for Armed Robbery on Nicholas Levon Harrison in Elbert County, Georgia.

“The armed robbery occurred in Toccoa,” Thomas said. “My deputies received information that Harrison was in the Elberton area. Warrants were then issued for his arrest in Elbert County and we took him into custody.”

Thomas said that as of Friday Harrison was being held in the Franklin County Jail.

He said the investigation is ongoing and other charges may be forthcoming.

Thomas said his officers were assisted by the Georgia State Patrol and K-9, Stephens County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and K-9 Units, Elbert County Sheriff’s Office, and Toccoa Police Department.
