Four Charged with Arson in Habersham County House Fire

Four people have been arrested for their involvement in a Wednesday evening fire in Habersham County that destroyed a rental home.

It happened just before 10:00 p.m. on June 8th and heavily destroyed the 30-year-old, 900-square-foot structure, according to Insurance and Fire Safety Commissioner John King.

King said after examining the fire scene and conducting witness interviews, this fire was ruled to be an act of arson, and warrants were taken out against four individuals.

According to the fire investigation unit, the suspects threw lit fireworks inside the residence from the outside, which started the fire.

The investigation resulted in the arrests of:

21-year-old Kayley Crocker, of Clarkesville, is charged with Arson in the First Degree and Aggravated Assault

18-year-old Maliki Crocker, of Clarkesville, is charged with Arson in the First Degree and Aggravated Assault

20-year-old Courtney Crocker, of Clarkesville, is charged with Obstructing or Hindering Law Enforcement and Party to the Crime of Aggravated Assault

And 19-year-old Timothy Chase Goetchius, of Clarkesville, is charged with Obstructing or Hindering Law Enforcement and Party to the Crime of Aggravated Assault
