Flentall Investigation Continues

The investigation into the homicide of a Toccoa man has now moved into its second week.

Toccoa Police Chief Tim Jarrell said his investigators along with agents from the Georgia Bureau Of Investigation are remaning tight- lipped regarding the circumstances surrounding  the death of 28-year-old Montavious Xavier Flentall last Tuesday.

But Jarrell says they are also continuing to field tips from the public.

“Right now, we do not have any additional information that is available to be released,” said Jarrell.  “We are still very adamant in asking for the public’s help in using the tip line and providing us information.  People may have information and do not even realize they have it.”

That tip line number is 706-282-3237

Investigators say they also continue to ask the public’s help for information leading to the whereabouts of a newer model Ford SUV that is either  gray or metallic blue in color in connection to the case.

Flentall was found at a Pageland Drive residence early last Tuesday morning , reportedly by his girlfriend who is also the mother of his two children.

Authorities have not released any details at this time about how Flentall died.

However, his girlfriend, identified as Terrow Fleming told a Greenville TV station, WYFF, she found Flentall after coming home from taking her son to school.

Fleming said Flentall’s hands and feet were bound, but before he died was unable to tell her what had happened.

Flentall had been released from prison last July and was on parole, but Sadie Benson, Flentall’s grandmother, told the TV station he was turning his life around.

Meantime, Jarrell said investigators believe this was an isolated incident and add they have found no indication that the general public should be alarmed.
