First Saturday Advance Voting Day is Tomorrow

Just a reminder that voters will have an opportunity Saturday to cast an early ballot in the Franklin and Hart County municipal races and the Franklin County alcohol referendums.

Advance voting in Franklin County for the cities of Lavonia, Canon, and Carnesville takes place at the Franklin County Board of Elections office on the Royston Highway in Carnesville from 9a to 5p Saturday.

In Royston, advance voting takes place Saturday at Royston City Hall from 9a to 5p.

In Hartwell, advance voting takes place at the Board of Elections office on Cade St. From 9a to 5p Saturday.

There are three weeks to advance vote for the November 2 Election including two Saturday voting days, on the 16th and the 23rd.

Also, because of changes to the State voting laws, which went into effect July 1, there are no drop-off boxes for early voting ballots outside of elections or registrar offices.

You must hand-carry your ballot into the elections or registrar office to drop it off if you want to deliver it in person.

Additonally, applications for absentee ballots must be received by October 23 for the November election.
