FAA to Investigate Barrow County Plane Crash

In Barrow County, investigators with the Federal Aviation Adminsitration will be on the scene today of a small plane crash that killed the pilot.

It happened about 2:30p Sunday afternoon according to Lt. Scott Dakin of the Barrow County Fire Service.

Dakin told the Atlanta Journal Constitution, when rescuers arrived, they found the single engine plane crashed near hole three of the Georgia Club golf course in that same subdivision.

According to Dakin while there were golfers on the course Sunday afternoon, no one on the ground was injured.

The pilot, whose name has not yet been released, was the only one on board, according to officials.
