Extra Patrols Added Around Family Life Pregnancy Rescource Center in Carnesville

Extra patrols have been requested around the Family Life Pregnancy Resource Center in Carnesville

Franklin County Sheriff Steve Thomas has put extra patrols around the Family Life Pregnancy Resource Center in Carnesville.

The patrols were at the request of Center founder Tina Brock.

Brock tells WLHR News they haven’t had any problems so far, but she did ask for the extra patrols when word leaked out that the Supreme Court was considering overturning Roe v. Wade.

“I messaged him (Sheriff) probably about a week before the decision was made when I had heard about the vandalism across the county revving up. I had asked him if he would keep an eye on Franklin Life, that I hoped we wouldn’t have any problems but if we did would they keep an eye out for us also,” she explained.

Brock said they also recently had security cameras installed in anticipation of the pro-abortion law being overturned.

Among the many services they offer, the Family Life Pregnancy Resource Center works with women considering an abortion.

Brock said her experience having an abortion was part of the many testimonies from other women who had had abortions that were submitted to the Supreme Court.

“My affidavit from my past abortion was included with the affidavits that went before the U.S. Supreme Court along with many other women from Operation Outcry,” she said. “That was a group I traveled around the country with to present our testimonies. And the Justice Foundation and Alan Parker took our affidavits and they were presented to the Supreme Court over the years. So, I’ve been waiting for that day, June 24, for a very long time. I felt in my heart that God would allow me to see it and I can’t thank Him enough.”

Since the overturning of Roe v Wade last week by the U.S. Supreme Court, dozens of pregnancy and pro-life centers have been attacked across the country.

Annabelle Rutledge, the national director of Young Women for America told CBN News their building in Washington DC was vandalized and they now have armed security guards patrolling.

And the FBI has joined local police in Longmont, Colorado in investigating a suspected arson case at a pro-life pregnancy center there.

The Catholic News Agency reports the center, Life Choices, sustained fire, and heavy smoke damage Sunday.
