Early Voting Begins Today for May Primary

Early voting starts today for the May 24th General Primary and Non-Partisan Elections.

Early voting ends Friday, May 20th.

In the local races, voters in both Franklin and Hart counties will be deciding on the Board of Commissioner and Board of Education races.

They will also be choosing candidates for a host of state and federal races, including Governor, Lt. Governor, U.S. Senate, Georgia Secretary of State, and U.S. Representative District 9.

In Franklin County, voters will go to the Franklin County Elections and Registrations Office in Carnesville from 9:00a-5:00p to early vote.

Elections Supervisor Gina Bannister also advises voters who want an absentee ballot to get their requests in now so her office will have plenty of time to mail a ballot to you.

In Hart County, voters will go to the Elections and Registrations office on Cade St. in Hartwell to cast an early ballot beginning at 9a. Hart County voters with questions can call Elections Supervisor Robin Webb at 706-376-8911.

And a reminder for all voters, there will be two Saturday voting days on May 7 and May 14 from 9a – 4p.
