Draft of Franklin Co Unified Development Code Available for Public Review

Franklin County’s Planning and Zoning Board will review the new proposed Unified Development Code when they meet May 19.

At the Board of Commissioners meeting Monday evening, Planning and Zoning Director Scott DeLozier said after over a year of work, the 417-page UDC is now complete.

DeLozier invited the public to review the document and provide any comments or questions before the May 19th meeting.

Last month, the Board voted to end their 90-day moratorium on new residential development early after DeLozier recommended just going with the new UDC which he said they had been working on for over a year.

The Board will review the UDC and possibly vote to pass it at their June meeting.
