DHS Invites Local Faith-based, Civic Groups to Community Meeting in Toccoa

The Georgia Department of Human Services is looking to faith-based and non-profit groups to help children and the elderly and to build stronger families.

This week, DHS is inviting members of the faith and nonprofit communities to a meeting in Toccoa to discuss opportunities for the community to come together to support vulnerable children and families.

The meeting is taking place Thursday morning, from 10a to noon at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, on E. Tugalo St. in Toccoa.

During the meeting speakers will cover aging and disability services, child support services and foster care and adoption services.

They are asking the public to attend and to be ready to engage in a discussion on how the community can partner with DHS to help vulnerable children, adults, and families in their community.
