Conyers Woman Charged in Fatal I-85 Wreck

The Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team continues to investigate a fatal wreck Friday on I-85 that left an Atlanta man dead and the driver facing charges.

Troopers say it happened about 2:30 Friday morning.

According to the Georgia State Patrol Gainesville Post, 31-year old Zanetta L. Yearby of Conyers has been charged with first degree vehicular homicide and other charges.

Troopers say Yearby was allegedly driving under the influence on I-85 southbound when she wrecked near Exit 149 in Banks Crossing.

Her passenger, identified as Bruce Edward Washington of Atlanta, age unknown, was ejected and died at the scene.

In addition to the vehicular homicide charge, Yearby has also been charged with DUI, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, and no proof of insurance.
