“Clue” Opens Tonight

Encore Productions will be having performances of Clue

Based on the classic board game, Clue is brought to life on stage with all of your favorite game pieces, including Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, and Miss Scarlet.

The real-life versions of these characters are invited to a dinner party thrown by an anonymous host.  It is soon discovered that all of them have fallen victim to the same blackmailer – their very host! Each is presented with a weapon and an option: pay their extortionist double, or kill the innocent butler.

Toni King is with Encore Productions.  She says she is looking forward to the play.

“Well, we are very excited to have Clue come to our stage.  It is the third show in our season for Encore Productions at the Elbert Theatre, and this is our community theater stage.  So all these folks performing are volunteers.  They’re not paid, so that is extra exciting!  ‘Cause they’re there for the passion.  And that’s what we want.”

Performances of Clue will be held tonight and Saturday night at 7:00, and Sunday at 2:00pm in the Elbert Theatre located at 100 S. Oliver St. Elberton.  Additional shows will be next Friday, September 16 through Sunday, September 18 at the same times.

Tickets for performances are $11 in advance, $9 for students/groups and $16 at the door.

This show is rated PG for some adult humor and mild violence.  All seating for Encore performances is reserved.
