Mr. Charles G. Powell Jr. 67, of Lavonia, Ga. died Tuesday March 18, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House Anderson. His wishes where to be cremated and a visitation will be held at Strickland Funeral Home in Hartwell from 5 pm to 8 pm on Thursday April 2, 2014. Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday April 4, 2014 at 2 pm at McDowell Memorial Park , Marion, N.C.  In flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 250 Williams St. NW, Atlanta, Ga. 30303 or Rainey Hospice House, 1835 Rogers rd.
