CDC Releases COVID-19 Monitoring Levels for Each County

The Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta has released new COVID-19 data at the community level to help people know what steps to take in their community to prevent contracting the virus.

Data for each county in Georgia was gathered on July 14 and released on July 17.

Levels can be low, medium, or high and are determined by looking at hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area.

COVID-19 Community Levels and recommended prevention steps are reported by county, with data updated weekly.

Franklin County is listed by the CDC as being in the Medium range, meaning citizens should stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines, get tested if you have symptoms, and wear a mask if you have symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19.

In Franklin County, as of July 17, there were 25 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and no deaths reported.

Hart County is also listed by the CDC as being in the Medium risk range for COVID-19 transmission.

As of July 17, Hart County had 28 confirmed cases of the disease and no deaths.
