Cars & Guitars This Saturday

rt County is gearing up for their 13th Annual Cars & Guitars Festival on Saturday.  The Derleth is the Director of Tourism and Events for the Hart County Chamber of Commerce.

Derleth says he is excited that Cars & Guitars is back, “We’re so about the Cars & Guitars Festival that’s coming up Memorial Weekend.  We’ve been off for a year because of the Pandemic, and we think this is going to have a huge turnout this year because people are ready to come out and have some fun!”

Visitors will be able to walk around the downtown area and see lots and lots of classic vehicles, listen to classic music, and have classic fun.

Derleth says, “We have of course the cars, which are classic cars and hot rods.  Live music with the Bennett Brothers and Jackson Ford.  There’s going to be “Lynn the Mermaid” for the kids as well as a great kid’s corner.  We have the largest number of vendors we’ve ever had at Cars & Guitars.  So we’re really excited about this.  There’s going to be something for everyone.

Vendors include artisan booths, civic organizations, even local businesses who have set up tents.  And of course you will be able to grab some great food or sweet treats from the food vendors and win awesome prizes.  Derleth says that the local merchants on the square will also be open for business.

And if you would like to submit your classic vehicle you can register it by filling out a registration form on the Hart County Chamber of Commerce website and mailing it to the Chamber or dropping it off at the chamber office on Carolina Street.  Registration runs through this Friday, and the fee is $20 in advance. You can also register the day of the car show for $25.  Anyone with questions can call the Hart County Chamber at 706-376-8590.

Again the annual Cars & Guitars is this Saturday from 10am-2pm on the Square in Downtown Hartwell.  Spectators are admitted free.
