Cars & Guitars, Music Festival Round Out Holiday Weekend in Hart Co.

It is going to be a busy weekend in Hart County over the Memorial Day weekend with lots of fun events taking place downtown and all around the County.

The weekend kicks off with the annual Cars and Guitars Festival.

Classic car buffs will want to attend Saturday’s 14th annual Cars & Guitars Festival on Saturday from 10 AM-2 PM in downtown Hartwell.

Over 100 classic vehicles will be on display and visitors will be able to look at the cars, listen to classic music, and have some good Memorial Day weekend fun.

There will also be artisan and vendor booths, and you will be able to grab some great food or sweet treats, and win awesome prizes.

If you would like to submit your classic vehicle you can register it by filling out a registration form on the Hart County Chamber of Commerce Web site and dropping it off.

You can also register on the day of the car show for $25. Anyone with questions can call the chamber at 706-376-8590.

Also happening Saturday is the annual Lake Hartwell Music Festival.

H.Y.D.R.A. of Hart County, Inc. is hosting the 10th annual Lake Hartwell Music Festival and this year, it will be held at the Lakeside Resort in Hartwell, which was the old Hart State Park.

Calling it a “Party with a Purpose,” the event will combine nine live bands, food and retail vendors, activities, snacks, crafts, and the beautiful waters of Lake Hartwell as a backdrop.

The excitement begins at 1:00 p.m. with the following groups performing:

Bennett Brothers, Adjacent Hays, Brand New Relic, Hannah Peeples, Kevin Mack, Andrew Dixon, and 3 & Twenty.

Bring the family, some chairs, blankets, pop-up tent and a have fun attitude.

All proceeds will benefit H.Y.D.R.A. Hart Youth Development Resource Association.

H.Y.D.R.A., offers year-round programs that provide support, education, and encouragement for our youth.

Tickets are available online at lakehartwellmusicfestival.com and are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate.
