Carnesville Lions Club Celebrates Milestone Sunday

The Carnesville Lions Club is celebrating a milestone this weekend.

On Sunday, the Club will celebrate its 70th anniversary at the Carnesville Community Center from 3p to 5p.

The celebration is open to the public and everyone is welcome.

Originally chartered with the Lavonia Lions Club it was rechartered after World War II and continues to serve the community through its support of the Carnesville Boy Scout Troup and Cub Pack 42 and the Lions Lighthouse Camp for the Blind in Waycross.

They are also supporters of the Leader Dog for the Blind Project.

Again, the 70th anniversary celebration for the Carnesville Lions Club takes place this Sunday from 3p to 5p at the Carnesville Community Center on Hull St.
