Carnesville Kicks off Season of Festivals Tonight

The City of Carnesville is kicking off the fall festival season this weekend with its annual fall event beginning tonight.

This year’s 23st annual fall festival officially opens at 5p this evening and will host the students from Carnesville Elementary and will include two drawings.

Music comes from Scott Brantley and Band beginning at 7p.   Then at 9p the Holman Autry Band takes over.

Saturday’s events begin with the annual festival parade at 9a followed by a performance by the Franklin County High School Auxiliary and Band

Throughout the morning various groups will be performing, such as dancers from All the Right Moves and the Southern Stompers.

The fair officially opens at 2p and at 3p events move to the Park where visitors can enjoy the new deck pavilion near the town’s natural spring.

In addition to lots of good music, there will be food and arts and crafts vendors on the courthouse lawn.  

Saturday evening everyone is invited to come tailgate and watch the UGA game on the big screen beginning at 4:30p.

The weekend events finish Saturday night with music from Scott Brantley and Band at 6p, the Jeff Vaughn Band at 7:15p and Little Texas at 9p.
