UPDATE: Suspicious Package Found Behind Banks Crossing Wendy’s Not a Bomb

A suspicious looking package found behind the Wendy’s in Banks Crossing has turned to not contain a bomb.

Area businesses were evacuated for a time today while the GBI bomb squad removed the package.

The Banks County Sheriff’s office is continuing to look into why the package was placed behind the Wendy’s.

They are also interviewing witnesses.

No word on what was in the package nor why authorities believed it might be dangerous.
