Bowman Signs On With New Wastewater Testing Company

The town of Bowman has contracted with a new waste water testing company.

At a called meeting this week, the Bowman City Council voted to hire Environmental Management Services.

Bowman City Mayor Pete Gibbons says the city started reaching out to different companies trying to find ways to save money.

“In doing so, we had spoke with Environmental Management Services again, and they had offered us a deal that would save us about $7,800 per year based on last year’s totals”, explained Gibbons.

Gibbons said they checked numerous references on the company, and also talked with City of Bowman workers that had previously dealt with EMS, and all the feedback received was positive.

With that being the case, Mayor Gibbons said it was too good a deal to pass up.

“We felt we could not pass up the offer to save that much money per year, and hopefully get services that better fit our need right now”, said Gibbons.

The city’s previous waste water tester was ER Solutions. However, the contract agreement with ER Solutions has long since expired, and the city had been conducting business with the company on a month-to-month basis.
