Bowersville City Government Officials Sworn In

The Town of Bowersville has a new city government, officially.

AT their first city council meeting Monday night, Hart County Chief Magistrate Judge Thomas J. Jordan, swore in the new mayor and four council members.

On November 3rd, the newly elected officials were voted into office by just over 100 registered voters in the town of about 450.

It was the first municipal election in over 48 years.

Winning the elction for mayor was Jim Jordan.

Town council members voted into office include: Kelly Cagle, Felicia Brown, Cindy Hensleigh, and Jeffrey Burney.

According to their Facebook page, the Bowersville Town Council met Monday Nov. 16th at 6pm in theTown Hall where the winners of the Special and General elections were sworn in.
FOllowing the swearing-in ceremony the new council members from the Special Election will be seated and a full council will be in session for the first time since July 2015.
The November 16th meeting also marked the return of the administration of Bowersville business since that July 13, 2015 meeting.
