Blood Connection at Two Locations this Weekend

As we’ve been telling you, the holiday season is one of the hardest times of year for the Blood Connection.

Historically, the number of blood donations goes down but the demand for blood stays high.

Hospitals will always need blood, and the holidays are no exception.

And as part of your holiday charitable giving this year, the American Red Cross and the Blood Connection are asking you to consider giving the gift of life by donating blood, plasma, or blood platelets.

As always, all blood types are needed but especially O Negative, as that is the universal blood type and can be given to any person regardless of their blood type.

One donation can help up to three people.

The Blood Connection bloodmobile will be at the Hartwell Walmart today from 11a to 7p.

And on Monday, December 26, you can stop by the Chick-Fil-A in Lavonia where the bloodmobile will be located from 2p to 7p.

Anyone who donates whole blood or double red cells with The Blood Connection through Saturday, December 31st will earn a $50 eGift card.
