Mr. James Blake Thompson, 69, of Washington, Georgia, died on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Southern Manor in Washington, Georgia.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Edward B. Pope Conference Center in Washington, Georgia.  Burial will follow in the Flat Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery, Bowersville, Georgia.  Mr. Blake will lie in state at the Wilkes County EMS Headquarters on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, where the family will also receive friends that day from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.  Online condolences may also be sent to the family by visiting www.stricklandfh.com.  Strickland Funeral Home – Hartwell Chapel is charge of the arrangements.
