The Franklin County Sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in locating one of two suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery last week in the Gumlog Community outside of Lavonia.

Franklin County Sheriff Stevie Thomas said Wednesday they now know the name of the suspect.  He is identified as Reco Marshall, 26, of Toccoa.

“Reco is wanted by the Franklin County Sheriff’s office for the offense of armed robbery,” Thomas said Wednesday.  “Reco is described as a black male, 26 years old, 6’1” tall and weighing 165lbs. Reco is considered armed and dangerous.”

RECO MARSHALL 003Thomas said Marshall was last seen in the Gainesville area on Tuesday.

The armed robbery happened the afternoon of July 29th at a home off Gumlog Road.

Investigators say Marshall and another suspect, described as a white male with blonde cropped hair, blue eyes, and tattoos, held up a man and his girlfriend at the man’s home at gunpoint.

Shots were fired, but the victims were not hurt.  Marshall and the second suspect got away in a tan colored Mercury, which Thomas said was later recovered in Stephens County.

“Reco is from the Toccoa area, but it is believed he may be in the Liberty, SC area or Central, SC. All help will be appreciated,” Thomas said.

Anyone with information as to Marshall’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s office at 706-384-2525 or your local 911.  You do not have to give your name.
