Ark Family Preservation Center Holding 50-50 Raffle Fundraiser

A 50-50 raffle is being held to support the Ark Family Preservation Center.

Last October, the Center opened its new facility in Franklin Springs to help hurting children and families.

Ark Founder, Dr. Beverly Oxley said at their dedication ceremony that in 2021 they raised $545,000 to reach the overall $1 million goal to build the new, larger, and debt-free facility to serve families in 10 northeast Georgia counties and that fundraising continues.

Even though they raised the million dollars to build the new facility, they still have to furnish all of the rooms and the cost for that, according to their website, is $20,000 per room.

John Hylton, Vice President of Marketing for Pinnacle Bank said he’s been a long-time Ark volunteer. Hylton said Pinnacle is assisting in their fundraising efforts by selling 50-50 raffle tickets.

Tickets are $25 and the winner will receive one-half of the money raised from ticket sales. Tickets are on sale until Feb. 13.

The drawing will be held on Feb. 14 at the Ark building in Franklin Springs.

In addition to Pinnacle Bank in Lavonia, tickets may be purchased from Wellsprings in Franklin Springs, or from an Ark volunteer.
