ARDEO Arrests Two in Franklin County Drug Bust

Two people are charged with drug trafficking after a drug investigation in Canon.

According to GBI Agent in Charge Trent Hillsman with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Officer, on Wednesday, December 7, a search was conducted at a residence in Canon, Franklin County, Georgia, related to a drug investigation.

The investigation was conducted by the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

As a result of the investigation, marijuana, ecstasy, and approximately 1.8 ounces of methamphetamine were seized,” he said. “The following individuals were arrested: Rocky Lee Holmes, 46, of Canon was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute. Carolyn Nicole Vinson, 29, of Toccoa, was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Schedule 1 Drug.”

Holmes and Vinson were transported to the Franklin County Jail following their arrest.

“This is an ongoing investigation,” Hillsman said.
