Love Him Love Them Ministry Looking for Volunteers Needed to Help Make Christmas Ornaments

If you’re looking for a way to help give back as well as help those in need, a local ministry needs people to help them make Christmas ornaments.

Love Him Love Them, a local ministry in Haiti, is looking for people who would like to help them make Christmas ornaments, according to ministry founder Linda Gunter.

“This year for the first time we are going to have a Christmas ornament line. So we are offering volunteers an opportunity to come to our office in Royston from 10a to 2p every Wednesday in July and August. So come, bring your kids, it’s a great fun time to spend around a table with other volunteers who are like-minded making these ornaments from the beads the ladies in Haiti have made,” she explained.

The ministry supports women in Haiti, primarily single women who were orphans or who previously worked on the streets to support themselves and their children.

The women recycle trash and turn it into beautiful beaded jewelry they can sell.  The ornaments will be made from the beads and sold to help support them.

Proceeds from each ornament purchased will go towards helping to educate, empower, and encourage these young women as they transition to become active members of society.

Again, if you would like to volunteer to help make Christmas ornaments you can stop by the Love Him Love Them offices located in the Ty Cobb Museum building in Royston each Wednesday through the end of August from 10a to 2p.
