4-H Camp Grounds Damaged By Strong Storms

4-H’er’s headed to Middle Georgia this week to the Rock Eagle 4-H Center will find a lot of damage, but the Center’s officials say it will be ready.

A strong storm last Thursday that moved through the Eatonton area toppled some 100 trees on the property and damaged seven cabins on the Rock Eagle grounds.

Authorities say some 300 people were at the Center when that storm hit, but no one was injured.

Rock Eagle is expecting around 600 people during the upcoming week, but workers are expected to have the 4-H facilities ready for them.
