20 Guns Stolen From Winder Pawn Shop

In Jackson County, Winder police say burglars drove a truck through a pawn shop window and stole more than 20 guns.

It happened around 3 a.m. early Sunday morning, according to investigators.

A surveillance camera recorded one suspect walking up to the store’s window and looking inside shortly before a white Dodge Ram crashed into it.

In an Associated Press report, police say three suspects ran inside after the truck and stole more than 20 weapons.  Authorities say one Bushmaster semi-automatic rifle was also stolen in the burglary.

Investigators say they’re still taking inventory at the store and they believe ammunition was also stolen.  Police say the truck the suspects used to break the window was stolen from an Atlanta apartment complex and was left at the scene.

Police say the burglars likely had a second getaway vehicle.
