11/09/12 – Lots of Kittens and Cats at NE Georgia Animal Shelter

While most of the dogs and puppies were farmed out to other rescue groups so crews could begin work on making repairs to the kennel area of the shelter, there are still plenty of wonderful kittens and cats needing new homes.

There are currently a number 6-8wk old kittens, as well as kittens between 6mos – 1yr.

“Kitten Season” will be over soon so if you’ve been wanting to adopt a kitten or young adult cat, now is the time.

The adoption fee for cats and kittens is $40, which pays for their spay or neuter and a rabies vaccine. All cats have had at least one set of vaccinations and a deworming.

The Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter is located on Bear Creek Road off SR17 in Lavonia. Animals are available for adoption Tuesday – Saturday from 11a to 4p.  For more information, contact them at 706-356-5363 or by email at: [email protected].
